“Dongbaknang” is the Jeju dialect word for a camellia tree. With the annex building at its center, the grounds are dotted with photo spots—perfect for taking pretty pictures. Since admission includes a drink, it’s a good-value way to enjoy camellias, making it an easy stop if you want something low-pressure. (Admission fees and what’s included may change, so it’s best to check before visiting.)
Korea’s largest baby camellia forest, where you can see mature camellia trees over 45 years old. The trees tower above you and pack the area densely, so once you start taking photos at the many photo zones, an hour or two flies by. Note that there isn’t a cafe or separate resting area inside, so it’s best to come prepared before you enter.
Filled with flowers year-round, Hueree hosts a camellia festival in winter. You can take photos with a range of vibes at different photo zones, and there’s even a cafe for a comfortable visit. With a black pork show by time slot and a canola flower field added in, there’s plenty to see—especially great for family travelers.
Located along Pyeonghwa-ro on the way from Jeju Airport toward Jungmun and Seogwipo, it’s a convenient place to stop briefly and enjoy camellias mid-route. The scenery—stone walls paired with camellias—feels especially Jeju and beautifully rustic. Head a little farther in to find a camellia tunnel too, making it a nice quick detour along your itinerary.
A camellia spot frequently seen on SNS, with an atmosphere similar to Dongbaek Arboretum—choose whichever fits your route best. The trees are a bit smaller, but there’s a cafe inside, which makes it easy to take a break. The cafe’s large picture window—the signature photo spot—usually has a long line, and it can get crowded, so visiting right at opening time is recommended.

Well-kept walking paths, charming photo zones, and benches throughout make it ideal for a relaxed visit, especially if you want to take your time wandering the gardens.
Often confused with Dongbaek Arboretum, this is a colony where native Hallasan camellia trees grow. It’s tied to the legend of Grandma Hyeon Maeng-chun, and because native camellias bloom later, you typically won’t see them fully in bloom until late January. The inner area is blocked off as private land, but it’s lovely to take a loop walk around the village following the camellia hedge.
