A temple built inside a natural cave midway up Sanbangsan, it is one of Jeju’s signature historical and cultural attractions. Inside the cave, located at about 150m above sea level, enshrined Buddha statues create a serene setting, heightened by the steady drips from the ceiling and the legends associated with the site. From the front of the cave, you can enjoy wide-open views stretching to Yongmeori Coast, Hyeongjeseom, and even Gapado, making it a popular stop for travelers. It’s a special place where Sanbangsan’s dramatic landscape meets Jeju’s Buddhist heritage.
