Saengigijeong Badang-gil

This coastal walking trail runs between Yongsu Port and Dangsanbong and is considered a highlight of the Jeju Olle Trail Course 12. In Jeju dialect, “saeng-i” means bird and “gi-jeong” means cliff—true to its name, the scenery where dramatic coastal cliffs meet the deep-blue sea is especially striking. As you walk, Chagwido Island spreads out before you, and with the sound of waves and wind, you can fully take in Jeju’s nature. The seascape at sunset, when the water glows red, is particularly beautiful, drawing many travelers and photographers. It’s also a signature walking spot in western Jeju where you can enjoy a quiet charm unlike the area’s busier tourist attractions.
