Yongmeori Coast

Yongmeori Coast is one of Jeju’s 대표 natural attractions, named for its distinctive landform that resembles a dragon’s head diving into the sea. Layered sandstone cliffs and sweeping coastal scenery, formed over tens of millions of years, create a spectacular view, and the coastal trail lets you experience Jeju’s living geological history up close. The scenery unfolding with Sanbangsan Mountain in the background is also beautiful, drawing many visitors. However, Yongmeori Coast is well known for frequent access closures due to waves, high tide, and weather conditions, so be sure to check whether it is open on the day of your visit. If you’re lucky enough to visit on an open day, it’s a must-see destination where you can experience a special coastal landscape found only in Jeju.
