For anyone planning a trip to Jeju, I’m going to share some classic spots that you absolutely have to visit.

These are the timeless “must-do” Jeju courses you can even spot in your parents’ honeymoon photos~

1. Hallasan

Hands down the best of Jeju’s travel spots!

It’s Hallasan, the highest mountain in Korea.

With the mystical Baengnokdam crater lake and beautiful scenery in every season, Hallasan is a place you really should visit.

If you want to see Baengnokdam, you’ll need to take the Seongpanak Course or the Gwaneumsa Course.

These two routes require advance online reservations, so planning ahead is essential.

If you want a route that lets you enjoy Hallasan in about 3–4 hours, there are Eorimok and Yeongsil.

The views on the way up to Witseoreum are truly stunning.

Eoseungsaengak is a course you can climb in about 30 minutes.

If you’re short on time or hiking feels challenging, it’s a great light option for enjoying Hallasan.

2. Yongduam

Yongduam looks like a dragon rising up from the sea. Since it’s close to Jeju Airport, it’s perfect to visit at the start or end of your trip.

3. Seongsan Ilchulbong

Seongsan Ilchulbong is one of Jeju’s signature attractions and is listed as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site.

It takes about 30 minutes to reach the top, and with lots of steep stairs, it can feel a bit tough.

But the sunrise from the summit is spectacular, so many people come here early in the morning.

Not just for sunrise—the views from the top are stunning, making it a place you should climb at least once.

4. Seopjikoji

Seopjikoji is a wonderful place for a walk with dramatic coastal scenery. From the lookout, you can take in Seongsan Ilchulbong and the surrounding sea at a glance.

5. Songaksan

If the east has Seopjikoji’s beautiful seaside walking path, the west has Songaksan.

As you walk the famous coastal trail, you’ll get amazing views of Hallasan, Sanbangsan, and Sagye Coast—and even Gapado and Marado, too~

It’s a walking course with truly incredible scenery.

6. Yongmeori Coast

Over tens of millions of years, layers of sandstone formed these majestic cliffs. It’s called Yongmeori Coast because it resembles a dragon’s head diving into the sea.

Entry may be restricted during bad weather or at high tide, so be sure to check conditions before you go.

7. Daepo Jusangjeolli

These 4–6 sided column-shaped rocks were formed when flowing lava hit seawater and cooled rapidly—a place where you can witness nature’s wonders.

8. Cheonjiyeon Falls

Located in downtown Seogwipo, Cheonjiyeon Falls is one of Jeju’s 대표 waterfalls—and one of the easiest to visit.

With a flat walking path, it’s great for families with kids or for visiting with your parents.

It also offers night opening hours (something you don’t often see in Jeju), making it a lovely spot for an evening stroll with night views.

9. Manjanggul

Manjanggul is a cave with a total length of 7.4 km, formed hundreds of thousands of years ago. Lava caves with such well-preserved internal shapes and terrain are rare, giving it tremendous academic and conservation value.

About 1 km is open for visitors, and the lava column (about 7.6 m high) you can see at the end of the open section is said to be the largest of its kind in the world.

The temperature inside stays around 12–13°C year-round, so it’s a great place to visit in summer.
