Gasi Oreum

Gasi Oreum is located in Dongil-ri, Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo-si. Its name comes from the fact that many thorny trees (water oak) once grew throughout the oreum. With a modest elevation, it’s easy to climb without 부담, and along the well-maintained trail you can experience Jeju’s nature up close. At the summit, there is a horseshoe-shaped crater open to the southwest, and the refreshing panorama—spreading over Daejeong-eup, nearby oreum, and broad fields—is a major highlight. It’s relatively quiet, making it ideal for a relaxed oreum walk, and is recommended for travelers who want to enjoy the natural scenery of western Jeju.
