Golche Oreum

This small oreum is located in Seonheul-ri, Jocheon-eup. It was named because its shape resembles a “golche” (samtaegi), a tool used to carry grain. With its gentle, low ridgelines and compact size, it’s an easy climb for anyone, offering a short walk to the summit where you can enjoy Jeju’s nature. In particular, cherry trees carefully tended by local residents for a long time have been planted throughout the oreum, creating a beautiful spring scene as the entire hill is tinted light pink with king cherry blossoms. In recent years, the Golcheoreum Cherry Blossom Festival has even been held, establishing it as one of eastern Jeju’s 대표 cherry blossom spots. With fewer visitors, it’s great for a relaxed walk and photo-taking. From the summit, you can also take in views of the Seonheul-ri area and nearby oreums.
