An oreum about 148m high, Sarabong is a superb viewpoint where you can enjoy sweeping views of Jeju Port, the sea, and Hallasan together. Since old times, the sunset seen from Sarabong has been known as “Sabong Nakjo” (Sarabong Sunset), celebrated as one of the Yeongju Sipgyeong (Jeju’s old Ten Scenic Views) for its beauty. At the summit, you’ll find a beacon mound and viewing facilities, and the dense pine-forest trail makes for an easy, pleasant walk. Close to downtown, it’s a beloved spot for local residents to stroll and exercise, and around sunset you can enjoy both the crimson sea and Jeju City’s night view.
