This natural recreation forest is located on the southern side of Hallasan at an elevation of 600–800 m. Along dense hinoki cypress groves and a variety of forest trails, you can enjoy a relaxing forest walk and take in the fresh air. Each season brings a different landscape—azaleas, fresh spring greenery, autumn foliage, and snowy winter scenes. From the observatory, you can take in panoramic views stretching to downtown Seogwipo and even the sea. With facilities such as Forest House lodgings, a forest recreation hall, walking paths, and an observatory, it remains a popular choice for family outings and healing getaways.
