섯알오름

A low, gently sloping oreum located in Sangmo-ri, Daejeong-eup. Along with beautiful natural scenery, it is a historic site that preserves traces of Jeju’s modern and contemporary history. At the summit, you can see a coastal artillery emplacement installed during the Japanese occupation period, and nearby are historical remains such as Altteureu Airfield and Japanese military bunkers. There is also a memorial space commemorating the painful history of the Jeju 4·3 and the Korean War era, making it a meaningful place to reflect on both nature and history. With a relatively gentle walking path, it’s ideal for enjoying views of western Jeju while combining historical exploration with an oreum walk.
