Located near the Jungmun Tourist Complex, this large temple is one of Jeju’s 대표 Buddhist sacred sites. The temple’s name originates from a spring where medicinal water flows, and within the grounds stand the Daejeokgwangjeon Hall, about 30m tall, along with a massive gilt-bronze Buddha statue. Its grand architecture, vibrant dancheong (traditional painted patterns), and serene atmosphere draw many visitors and worshippers. Behind the temple, the Jeju sea unfolds, offering beautiful views. Beyond its religious significance, it is a representative cultural landmark in Jeju where you can experience architecture, culture, and nature together.
