Located off the sea in front of Seongsan on Jeju’s east coast, Udo was named for its shape, said to resemble a cow lying down. It is home to beautiful natural landscapes such as the emerald sea, Geommeolle Beach, Seobin Baeksa (white sand beach), and Udobong Peak, and is beloved as one of Jeju’s representative island getaways. It’s great to tour along the coastal road by bicycle or electric vehicle, and you can also enjoy a variety of local foods such as Udo peanuts and seafood. A place to experience a relaxed atmosphere and charms quite different from those of Jeju Island.
