소개

Jonjaamji is a small temple ruin site that you can hike up to from the start of the Hallasan Yeongsil Trail. It is said to have been used as a place of practice during the Goryeo and Joseon periods, and traces such as stone terraces, a stone Buddha, and a spring still remain—offering a glimpse into Jeju’s Buddhist history. The route is not as demanding as a full Hallasan climb; instead, you can follow a relatively gentle forest path, making it ideal for a light, stroll-like visit. A dense mix of Japanese cedar and broadleaf trees creates clear air and a calm, quiet atmosphere, and you can enjoy the serene mid-mountain nature unique to Hallasan throughout the walk. With few visitors, it’s great for quiet reflection and healing, and it’s known as a hidden gem to stop by briefly before or after a Yeongsil hike.
