Cheonjin Port is located on the southeast side of Udo and is the island’s 대표 gateway where the largest number of passenger ferries departing from Seongsanpo Port arrive. For most visitors, it’s the first place they set foot on Udo, and the first spot to experience Udo’s uniquely blue sea and peaceful island scenery.
Around the port you’ll find cafés, restaurants, and electric car and bicycle rental shops, making it a convenient place to begin your Udo trip. It’s also well situated for getting to major attractions such as Hagosudong Beach, Geommeolle Beach, Udobong Peak, and Seobin Baeksa (White Sand Beach). On clear days, Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak) spreads out right in front of you, offering a beautiful view, and the scene of ferries coming and going against the backdrop of the Udo sea is charming as well.
As both the starting point and finishing point for an island loop tour, it’s where many travelers’ memories begin, and a 대표 Udo landmark where you can feel the island’s laid-back atmosphere.
