소개
This is Korea’s only museum specializing in haenyeo, systematically introducing the history, daily life, and communal culture of Jeju’s haenyeo. It exhibits tools, household items, and diving equipment actually used by haenyeo, and offers a variety of displays through which you can appreciate their lives and the value of Jeju’s maritime culture. With ocean views around the museum, you can enjoy the scenery of Jeju’s eastern coast along with your visit. It is also an excellent cultural learning space for understanding the significance of Jeju Haenyeo Culture being inscribed on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list.
