London Bagel Museum Jeju I Hadn’t Tried Yet

If I had to pick the hottest place in Jeju these days, wouldn’t it be here?

To be honest, I’m not particularly trend-sensitive. I’m not the type to go hunting for famous restaurants, and I’m not the type to chase hot spots either. ​ Honestly, for places that are “hot” and “famous,” there’s usually not much to eat anyway. ​ What’s truly precious is always right next to you. ​

Then one day, it suddenly flooded my Instagram feed—people saying this newly soft-opened hot place was a must. Until then, I didn’t even know what it was. I mean, it’s called a “museum,” so I thought it was an actual museum;;

Anyway, I happened to be passing through Jocheon today and thought, why not stop by. I’d heard the line was insanely long every time, so I figured I’d just come to watch the crowd—but what do you know, there was no line. ​

It felt totally different from what I’d seen on social media, so I stepped inside.

There was a line indoors. Still, it wasn’t so long that you couldn’t wait. I wondered if everything was sold out, so I looked around the shelves, but there were plenty of bagels left. ​ I ended up leaving anyway because I hate lining up, but it doesn’t seem as intense as the rumors make it out to be. One day, when I can eat without queuing, I’ll give it a try.

As a Jeju local, adding a bit more “word on the street”: ​ If you go on the weekend, the line is long like you see on SNS. Even if it’s not the weekend, if you do an open-run (early morning), you’ll still have to line up. They say if you just go leisurely in the afternoon after the open-run rush is over, you can buy without waiting. ​ ​

This is the Jeju branch of London Bagel Museum, which gained huge popularity in Seoul.
