Jeju is beautiful year-round with plenty to see, but in winter, camellias are hands-down the No. 1 highlight!
There are lots of famous camellia spots, but today I’ll introduce a place you can quickly stop by on the way and still enjoy gorgeous flowers.
Nicknamed the “Camellia Bus Stop,” this place perfectly captures Jeju vibes with camellias blooming above a stone wall.
There’s a wooden sign on the stone wall that I didn’t see last year.

Since it’s along Pyeonghwa-ro, it’s an easy scenic stop when you arrive at Jeju Airport and head toward Jungmun or Seogwipo.
These are baby camellias (the earliest camellias to bloom), so you can enjoy them from late November.
On windy days, petals from the flowers in full bloom fall and lay down a stunning red carpet.
A lot of people come here for snap photos, so if your timing is off, you might have to wait quite a while.
If that happens, head in toward the Castlelex CC entrance—there’s an amazing camellia tree tunnel, so it’s a great idea to check out the camellia path first.
It looks perfect for filming a great video as you softly, gently walk along the pretty path covered in a neat red carpet, doesn’t it😍
Right next to Pyeonghwa-ro, it’s easy to access and free, making it a great place to drop by briefly and enjoy beautiful flowers.
This is a camellia viewing spot located at the entrance to Castlelex Jeju CC. Along Jeju’s traditional stone walls, bright red camellias bloom, letting you feel Jeju’s distinctive atmosphere. In winter, it’s well known as a photo spot visited by many travelers and photography enthusiasts. Rather than a long walking trail, the highlight is the scenery created by camellia trees planted along the roadside and around the stone walls—an especially beautiful contrast between the black basalt walls and vivid red camellias. Though the section is relatively short, it’s a hidden gem for capturing Jeju’s winter scenery.
