Jeju Canola Flower Spots That Signal the Start of Spring

Introducing Jeju’s canola flower spots that announce spring: the canola fields around Sanbangsan (admission 1,000 KRW), a canola field across from Gwangchigi Beach in Seongsan, canola blooms under the stone walls at Seongeup Folk Village, the Seopjikoji coastal path, and Seoubong in Hamdeok.

Jeju Island is a place where you can see flowers all year round.

Even in the cold winter, yellow canola flowers begin to bloom alongside red camellias.

By March, most camellias have fallen, but the canola flowers are still beautiful, letting you know that spring has begun~

There are a few places famous for canola flowers, so here they are~

Sanbangsan Canola Flowers

Many fields in front of Sanbangsan turn into canola flower fields filled with waves of yellow from winter through spring.

A few years ago there were only one or two, but now most of the nearby fields plant canola flowers, so there are lots more.

You can go in person and take photos wherever you like best.

Admission is the same everywhere: 1,000 KRW per person.

Seongsan Canola Field

This is a canola field located across from Gwangchigi Beach in Seongsan-eup.

It boasts a stunning view because Seongsan Ilchulbong is visible at a glance.

You could see canola here starting last December, so it has withered quite a bit by now, but it’s still a popular spot.

Seongeup Folk Village

Recently, many people have been visiting because you can see canola flowers blooming below the fortress wall of Seongeup Folk Village together with the stone walls.

The combination of stone walls and canola flowers really gives you that Jeju vibe.

Seopjikoji

Seopjikoji, where you can see Seongsan Ilchulbong at a glance, is a beautiful coastal walking trail that many people visit~

If you walk along the coast, you’ll come across gorgeous yellow canola flower fields.

Seoubong in Hamdeok

Spring has arrived at Seoubong, overlooking the emerald waters of Hamdeok Beach~

The canola flowers that started blooming from late January have mostly faded, and only a little remains now, but...

It’s still more than enough to capture great photos of canola flowers framed with the sea.

사우봉 유채꽃도 아름답지만 오름에서 바라보는 함덕해변이 더할나위없이 멋진곳이죠~^^
