Yellow canola blossoms sway in the spring breeze blowing across the fields. After the biting winter, spring suddenly blooms in Jeju and makes my heart flutter. How about welcoming spring with canola flowers this weekend?
When you think of bright yellow canola flowers, you think of spring in Jeju.
On Jeju Island, from February through April, you can easily spot canola flowers almost anywhere—across the fields of the oreum, along stone-wall alleys, and more.
I’ll share canola flower hot spots you can visit in Jeju and when they bloom.
1. Gasi-ri Noksan-ro (Bloom season: early April)

Gasi-ri Noksan-ro is a 5km stretch where you can take in yellow canola flowers, pink cherry blossoms, and Jeju’s signature blue sky all at once—perfect for a scenic drive and a flower-filled day out. If you stop by Jorangmal Park and the Canola Flower Plaza around the middle of Noksan-ro, your trip will be even more enjoyable.
2. Gapado (Bloom season: late March)

Gapado, famous for its Cheongbori (green barley) Festival, started planting canola flowers from last year. The endless fields are truly striking. During canola season, ferry services were expanded so visitors could even enjoy the sunset on Gapado. Will it happen again this year?
3. Hamdeok Seoubong (Bloom season: late March–early April)

You can also find canola flowers on Seoubong, overlooking the famously beautiful Hamdeok Beach. Hike up Seoubong for photos with canola blooms in the background, then stroll along the emerald sea and soak in Jeju.
4. Jungmun Eongdeongmul Valley (Bloom season: early March)

Located in the Jungmun Tourist Complex, it’s easy to access and draws plenty of visitors. Canola flowers blooming along the ravine create a spectacular view. If you’re staying at a hotel in the Jungmun Tourist Complex, it’s also perfect for a leisurely walk.
5. Seopjikoji (Bloom season: early March)

Seopjikoji, which became famous through the drama All In about 20 years ago, is still a major attraction visited by many travelers. The endless canola flower fields with All In House and Seongsan Ilchulbong as the backdrop are especially memorable.
6. Yerae Ecological Park (Bloom season: late March–early April)

This ecological park in Yerae-dong, located right next to Jungmun, is so beautiful that Olle Trail Course 8 passes through it. In spring, the scenery of canola flowers mixed with cherry blossoms is especially stunning. It used to be a favorite outing spot for local residents in spring, but these days it has become a bustling must-visit spot as more travelers have discovered it.
